Koziar’s Christmas Village - 5. Photos & 2. 7 Reviews - Local Flavor - 7. Christmas Village Rd, Bernville, PA - Phone Number. Definitely a trip worth making at least once in your life. My hubby surprised us with a family road trip this last weekend. We arrived at Kozair's shortly after they had just opened and it was just getting dark. As time progressed, the line and crowds got worse. Everywhere you look, there is a visual wonder to see. The large model train display was really neat. Most of the displays remind me of the graphics you see from the 5. Bring your wallet for admission ($9 for adults, $7 for children age 3 - 1. Santa's hat shop was my family's favorite - yes, silly hats were purchased and worn). So we just got back from the annual dust up to Kozair's and as usual things were great. But when you go have a great time as this place is kitsch in its highest form and even if you detest X- Mas like I do you will still come away amazed at the effort that goes into keeping the displays going after 6. I love the place because of it's festive holiday nature and volume of lights and displays, but was disappointed in the logistics and crowds at the site. The displays are beautiful as you approach on Christmas Village Road, but be sure to get there in the early evening before the sun sets. Their parking lot is enormous and holds a good amount of cars and busses. There is an entry fee for admission that ranges from $4 - $9 a person; they likely need every penny of it to keep all those old incandescent light bulbs illuminated. Some of the displays show more of their amateur nature and age than others, but everything pays a nice respect to holiday traditions. However, this year, it appears they've gotten to the point where they cannot handle the crowds they're attracting. For $1. 0 each, I would prefer not to be herded through the place like cattle. We couldn't stop at all to enjoy any of the lights or take pictures because there were just way too many people. And the bathroom situation is a mess. The line for the main restroom stretched all the way to the end of the barn, so I tried the other bathroom house, and it was locked! While there were at least 6 busses parked in the parking lot! Thankfully there were 2 porta potties outside that bathroom that my son and I waited in line for only to find out they were almost full; so disgusting (but hey, it was an emergency so at least we got to go..). I can say the magic I remember is gone. I hope they expand immensely and figure out traffic and parking because the place I remember from my youth is now an expensive nightmare. Definitely not worth the headache or price. Only giving more than 1 star because I DO remember a time when I loved Christmas Village. In the Hebrew Bible and the Quran, Aaron . Little cheesy but we loaded up the family sleigh to check out Christmas Village. It was a nice time and the kids enjoyed seeing all the lights. Different and unique but the . We visited back in 2. I think it's the best time to go because I heard it can get pretty busy. We also love shopping for ornaments and you can find a lot of unique ones here for any budget. If you want to get into the holiday spirit, this is the place to go. First of all, bring your camera! And make sure you enter down the hill facing the village or you won't get to see the town lit from the top of the hill, tonight we took the road behind it and when leaving we purposely made the wrong turn just so we can have that experience of seeing it from above. This is basically disney land for people obsessed with everything Christmas (me). We arrived about 2. From start to finish it's a fantastic experience, there are arrows leading you all around and I absolutely love that each little house has its own theme, for example there's . That's basically every house and nook and cranny of the village.. You can tell they have been perfecting and making certain everything was perfect. The windows even start lower for the kids to see better. Dress appropriately or you will be distracted by how cold you are to really enjoy. Also make sure you're wearing comfortable shoes because depending on who you're going with, you will be walking for 2- 3 hours. You can leave earlier but you would have to skip a few things. The stops I was sure to make was visiting toll kissing bridge, it overlooks the lake and has a train set going on right under and it's just so beautiful. There's also santa's post office, raggedy anne's ice cream parlor, Christmas under the sea where everything is neon.. They use the old fashioned big Christmas lights and everything is very classic which makes it even more enjoyable. The nativity scene is lovely too. Also, please lookout for the . It's not too loud or low, either. The caf. There's also pretzels and pop corn and toward the end they sell burgers/hotdogs, which I haven't tried but I'm sure are decent. The shops with Christmas decorations, ornaments, toys, and nick knacks are all really great, some kind of pricy but overall very reasonable if you think about all the electricity they're burning and staff they need to keep up. The Ornaments are very unique and so are the decorations, they have cinnamon wreath brooms that make these stores smell like heaven.. Christmas spririt. You also get to go in to meet Santa and take home a picture for $8 and the Santa actually looks the part, which helps, and they're all very friendly. The first time we went it was right after Thanksgiving and the line to meet him was around the corner.. So something to keep in mind when planning the visit maybe being a Friday helps, too. Overall, I was very very pleased and will definitely be back next year. And the years after that too. Complete crap!!!!!! Everything was so outdated and just looked like something my great grandmother had! GET WITH THE PROGRAM!!!!!! UPDATE UPDATE.. sucks so bad. Would leave zero stars if possible. The entire area takes about 4. It resembles a mini Disney world which makes it very exciting. Admission is very reasonable and the cost for snacks in the little shops is pretty decent. Apart from that, there's not much to see there. If you're traveling from far, it makes sense to visit some other areas of interest that are nearby. It's the perfect place to check out to get you in the Christmas spirit! But make sure you get there as soon as it opens in the evening because at a certain time, especially as it gets closer to Christmas, car traffic entering the parking lot is stalled and it can take you up to an hour just to get a parking spot before you enter! I had the pleasure of going to Koziar's a week before Christmas and I found the experience to be pleasant to a certain extent. It was more like a museum for Christmas and I think I would have given it a 4 or 5 star if the place felt a little more Christmas- y. I went with my whole family and everyone (from 9 to 6. Be sure to bundle up though because it's all walking outside and it's pretty cold! We arrived around 8: 0. They did not start shutting things down until closer to 1. This have us plenty of time to see everything and visit the gift shops. And we're slow walkers! Definitely a place for families!(: Awesome place!!!! Very friendly and helpful staff. This year they upgrade the outdoor bathrooms. You can't bet the price of admission, it a reasonable night out for a family. They do have concession stands that sell coffee, hot cocoa, and snack. They have a good selection of torments and Christmas items, a little pricey, but something got to pay for all that electric. The parking is free, I recommend getting there early, and they do open the parking lot before 6pm. This year we went on Friday which was less crowded vs. Saturday last year. First time visiting this place and we loved it. Did a little day trip earlier to Cabela's then headed over to Christmas Village after dark on a Sunday night with no wait and an average amount of visitors. Couldn't get over how much they had in the size of the place.. This place just scream's Christmas and at 3. I felt like a little kid again taking pictures of everything. I can see this place becoming an annual visit from here on out. The lights are so pretty and so are all of the displays. I've been there several times and just took my granddaughter there for her first time Saturday. Think we will be taking her every year. After three times attempted to go to this place, finally we made it. Due to some reasons like heavy traffic and disorganized plan, the first three times we can't make it. This place only open for 2 months (Thanksgiving til New Year) and approximately 3 hours a day. They open at 6. PM I believe and close at 9. PM. It's $9 administration ticket per person. This place is worth to go if you are someone who loves Christmas decoration. It just like me, I live in NY, I went there all the way to see this Christmas Village with my friends. It is so beautiful especially during the snow time. It just looks like a white Christmas Village. Went 2nd Saturday (2 weeks) before Christmas. A solid 8 miles of traffic before the entrance. In a word this place is craptacular. Very old displays of painted wood figures, cheap window displays, and old minimal lights. The best thing about this place is the view of this place from the road before your turn into the parking lot. Once inside and you walk the arrowed path you will see how old and dated this place is, but it's not dated in a quaint way. It's dated in a cheap, hillbilly, country bumpkin way. Wear your woolies, pack your sense of humor, your camera, and enjoy! Reasonably priced souvenirs, giant old school Christmas bulbs, cut outs, dioramas, and more! Not many places like this exist anymore! Long live the Christmas Village! I came here with a tour. We were only given a hour to walk through the Christmas Village. I was a little upset because there was so much to see. I feel this is a wonderful place to bring your children. There is so many Christmas decorations to see. There is Disney princess, muppets, Sesame Street, Winnie the Pooh and many other characters. It is kind of cold here, so dress warm.
